The Children and Youth Administration is responsible for preschool, after-school care, primary school, and adapted primary school grades F-9. In total, we are about 1100 people working to provide a good service for our children and students today and prepare them for the future. Ängaboskolan is a F-6 school with just over 350 students in primary school. The school is located in southern Alingsås and is situated close to both school and lake. The school's facilities are spacious and fresh, allowing for a variety of working methods for both school and after-school care. Around the school's buildings, there is a large playground that encourages our students to engage in various recess activities such as football, basketball, bandy, gagaball, and various role-playing games. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a driven special educator for Ängaboskolan! Together with the principal, special educator, special teacher, counselor, school nurse, and school psychologist, you will participate in the student health meetings once a week. Together with student health, you will develop routines to create accessible learning environments and a good learning situation for all students at Ängaboskolan. You will also be an important part of the preventive and health-promoting work and in the work with the school's core values.

You have a great interest in systematic quality work and are passionate about school development. You have the ability to work both independently and together with other staff. The assignment consists of various forms of documentation, analysis, and follow-up of screening results, investigation of students' needs for special support, and establishment of action plans. You are used to collaborating with various actors such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) and social services. You are accustomed to observing in order to provide support regarding accessible learning environments, approaches, as well as extra adaptations and special support. The assignment may also include taking responsibility for and conducting professional development for the school's staff.

You work at the individual, group, and organizational level, but the assignment will have a strong focus on group and individual levels. This means providing support within the classroom framework or providing special support to individual students and smaller groups.

You are well-informed about the school's governing documents and keep yourself updated on research in the special education field.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a degree as a special educator and preferably experience working in schools or similar settings.
• Has a conscious thought about your role as a special educator and is a clear leader who works systematically based on applicable governing documents and has a professional approach.
• Has the ability to create a good working climate with engagement, curiosity, and safety, and you see and meet students' different needs based on their varying circumstances.
• Also has a positive attitude and good collaboration skills and contributes to the development of the entire operation. Your working method is flexible, and you can adapt it together with student health and other staff based on the needs present at the school.
